Does anyone know if we can get unemployment if we are fired for not going into the "right" office?

@ap you don’t get severance in Ga. If you were “fired” you get unemployment only for, for 14 weeks, and after taxes it is a mere $306.00 per week.
In Georgia you get severance AND unemployment. However, you only get 14 weeks max of unemployment - and you don’t get unemployment for the weeks of severance. So, if you get 6 months severance you will get 0 unemployment. I still filed though so my getting “retired early” by the company counts to government count of job loss that month.
After your severance period runs out you file for unemployment. Its your money, you earned it . They replaced you for their H1B workforce , you might as well take it.
Depends on the state. You'll get unemployment but not severance.
