Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The truth is, you are being cloned

They want you to believe that the data being captured about you is for performance measurements. They want you to focus on doing your job efficiently. They are lying once again. The all encompassing data being captured about you is for cloning your role, task by task to represent it in the AI model. More specifically, your role is being recreated as an Agentic AI. Once the role is sufficiently defined, you will be let go unceremoniously and your digital representation will be replicated. Now you know the truth as to why they brought in the company Unsupervised last year. The name is more telling and truthful. Now you know.

My role is based entirely on independent freedom of thought and multi factor decision making. There is no AI replacement for what I do.

LMAO, you mean like AI being able to land a rocket the size of a skyscraper? Or AI writing and singing hit songs with all the instruments of a full band? Or analyze the brushstrokes and style of Picasso and create an original work of art that can fool the experts. LMAO, ok Mr. Independent freedom thinker with multi factor decision making. See you on the other side of madness. Meanwhile AI already knows when you will be wiping your buttocks next and how many wipes it will take.

“This is the most accurate post on the page.”

“The data being captured is training “Agentic AI” models. These models are learning quickly and will be used to cut headcount. There will be “skeleton crews” for fallout but the OP is correct we are still training our replacements.”

Those that sleep will not hear the footsteps of those that have awoken and walked to safety.

Nah, you give AI and the ninnies in charge of AT&T too much credit. Unsupervised gets its name from "Unsupervised Learning" concept which is machine learning that finds patterns in data instead of being trained on data. They probably sent Stinker a nice report with some novel but ultimately useless data correlations on customers and orders and advertising, and charged us 8 figures for the privilege.

To be honest, most job positions exists bcs of a sh---y CRM and internal systems that require manual intervention and control. AI agent is just bandaid

@bz wrong. You have no idea what I do here. Maybe your job isn’t safe from AI, but I know mine is.

That explains why they asked to measure my do-g in the CVS pharmacy the other day when I was just buying some Tums.

And if they require you to be in the office five days a week on the company network, then nobody can say anything about them monitoring everything you do via voice and key stroke monitoring, cameras, everything because it’s not in your home, invading your privacy.
