Retirement Announcements

Really sad to see such a company that does this. VPGM”s, VP”s and upper brass, retire and there’s a Big Ole announcement/emaisl but yet let a pion retire not a word said, not even an email..

You don’t matter like you think you do. Your job is not that important. They don’t care. You aren’t one of them. You only matter to your team and the people at home. Don't waste your life going above and beyond for a job that could care less. I bet you don’t even get backfilled. Something to think about. Congrats on making it to retire. I hope you didn’t wait too long and still have time to enjoy your life.

Some teams and organizations just order some goodbye donuts and bagels for departing employees versus organization notes. Everybody loves the donut. They donut is the key. Learn to love the donut.

But they will announce a third place finish in some overseas ping pong tournament! How hilarious is that! I heard there were only four teams as well!

I’ve worked for the company for many years in the same org m. In all that time no announcements of retirements, resignations, promotions, shifting of direct reports have ever been announced. We usually find out, for example, when some one leaves when they don’t show up at a meeting they were invited to.

No announcement? Why I’ll have you know that the little John Stankey girl himself sent me a retirement plaque with a heartfelt note and his big J signature. Come to find out the beautiful paper it was printed on was even waterproof treated as my cocker spaniels p-ee p-ee rolled right off it. It got me thinking that the paper might be fireproof too. So I placed it in my backyard fire pit. Nope. The paper burned faster than the money we burned on our big beautiful projects.

Sorry if you weren’t mentioned but that probably means they were waiting for you to get the he-l out.

You’re likely not missed either.
