Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Wealth brokerage cuts

~3k roles to be trimmed across Wealth / brokerage this fall.

Some impacted individuals will be communicated end of Aug as immediate separation .

Some folks will be asked to stay till end of October basically giving them 2 months to find a new job at fidelity or leave.

At this point, they should layoff anyone who has more than one harassment complaint. Get rid of trouble makers and those that are going to get the company sued.

Some batch ops in our squad are definitely going to be impacted, my manager hinted during latest 1-1

Not due to performance but by colocation policies being pushed from above
