Massive layoffs are coming, and architects are on the chopping block....rumors say over 20% cuts. This is dangerous because the architecture group holds our tech together. Meanwhile, many GCLs and tech leaders are weak on actual tech skills. Please, don’t fire the architects, they’re the ones keeping things running!

Depends on the architect. If it was the b-m VP of architecture that laid me off last year, he can pi-s off.
That being said, why not just lay off the scrum masters instead? There’s way more of them at Fidelity than software architects anyway. Especially way more useless ones.
What is an architect? HR and architect of the culture…doing a great job!
Love it!!!
"The architecture group holds out tech togrther", LOL, with the bunch of reverse engineered diagrams?
1st Tuesday of the month…
@OP As interest rates remain high, borrowing costs to support operations are stretching budgets. Fee compression is putting stress on revenue and that will continue to be a problem. Withdrawals are accelerating as inflation has hit seniors and baby boomers bad. There will be more layoffs
Fire 200% of the architects!!!!
If chapter leader's are weak, you fire them and hire strong ones. You don't put bandits (Architects) on top of deep wounds.
Group chapter leader, one of the useless middle management roles.
What does GCL stand for?
