Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Connect week schedule and layoff posts

With connect weeks schedules currently only available until Feb plus so many CIO's having off site with regional leaders , the outcome of colocation push is not too long.

The decision has been made already, non performing contractors will have two weeks heads-up before being told about contracts not renewed.

Some full timers will have immediate separation, others in stages.

While all of the above is decided already, why delay the fate and keep associates hanging to deal with fear, anxiety, stress and uncertainty.

We are individuals with emotions, stop treating us as if we are no more than a badge #

Managers really do love to make people miserable. It’s because they can’t do their job and they have to take it out on someone who can’t do anything. Why not take it out on the team rather than working on themselves

When did you get the impression we are more than badge # for Fido?? Lol

You're just a number for them, they don't care about your personal situation, what you deal with day to day.

They take pride and joy in making your lives miserable

@OP Because you/we are just badge numbers in the greater plan. In addition, by not revealing any total picture of what's planned, they can reduce any potential bad press by handling it in stages.
