Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Where is this company headed.

What do y’all ultimately see happening to this company or what some have called a sinking ship. Will there be anything left in 5 years, 10 years or 20 years? Just curious to what everyone think is going to happen with Hal due to their incompetence in oil field services.

@OP hopefully the entire company will fold. I’d like to see it shut down and never come back. The sheer greed of top leadership combined with the total lack of regard for “the hands” in the field makes the whole thing unsustainable in my opinion. I did 10 years up to Covid era and I’m glad I’m gone. I work for a top competitor now and it’s night and day difference. Sr leadership actually does care about employees here. But Halliburton’s ridiculous mistakes in the past and they don’t learn they spend millions of dollars on stupid things that don’t ever pan out and make d-mb investments. Remember the billion dollar payment to Baker after that acquisition fell through? There was no way to foresee that the SEC would not allow that deal to go forward? It’s really just incompetent leadership and why are there so many managers anyway? They are top-heavy on management always have been. It’s just a bad culture. You know some guys come out of the field and then forget what it was like to work in the field. They turn into uncaring a--holes. It’s the whole mentality everybody in Halliburton management is like that. It’s like a requirement to be a manager at Halliburton. Anyway, I’m done ranting. I just hope that place closes the doors and never comes back. It doesn’t deserve to.

If senior execs knew their business, they would make rational decisions. Having worked directly with Eric and Jeff, I know their only motivation is personal enrichment. Knowledge of the business and effective management are not a consideration.

Going to sheet. Years of service, commitment, and performance don’t mean anything. All you can do is run! It’s going to get ugly! Demise is imminent! Hal may not make it through the end of the year at this rate. Financial misstatement is already happening to uncharted levels.
