Even if you’re still untouched by layoffs, it’s hard to see a future here. The company pushes for peak performance but barely provides the tools needed. Managers treat skilled employees like rivals, making career growth nearly impossible. Staying motivated feels pointless.

@1jz Same. I’ve been keeping touch with our former SE’s at Omnissa (we quit selling both Citrix and Omnissa last year). Lot of customers not renewing, many significantly cutting back licenses at renewal, etc. Doesn’t seem to be boding well for legacy VDI / DaaS vendors no matter how much tech they acquire.
I have a friend who works at Omnissa (former VMware EUC BU), and he says the company is in the same state of perpetual decline. Nobody wants these obsolete software platforms, and customers are not renewing SaaS subscriptions.
Correction... "incompetent managers belittle skilled employees, and make them look bad to executive leadership, to protect themselves".
I see the future, and it is...wait for it...wait for it...more layoffs!
It's hard to see a future? No kidding. We said that two years ago. It's not "hard" - it's impossible. :)
