Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Austin Texas office is closing!

Welp found out my office in Austin is closing. Not sure there plans. Will they force us to infinite, will they force us to move to KC ?? I hate the uncertainty.

I would not move for Fiserv for any amount of money. No loyalty to us. No loyalty toward them.

Had no idea there was an office there. Must be tiny.

Everyone is assigned remote in austin.

Wondering if Mike is getting rid of the satellite offices and opening remote work back up?

Been involved in multiple site closures with Fiserv/FD. They will use you until the last moment and then discard you. Compensation seems to differ by location. There is usually something in addition to the standard severance policy on FUEL. And in my experience, when they renewed the last lease, they were already planning a closure. This is why they don't own buildings anymore

One of my colleagues was working from Austin but remote, and was forced to move to Berkeley heights this summer.

I doubt many of us in Austin would care to relocate honestly. There are plenty of jobs here but better start looking right now.

I wouldn’t relocate if they doubled my salary. What for…to be laid off after you move?

Is Austin a part of Output Solutions or a different division? Has HR spoken to you about next steps? How many people are at that location?

When Sioux Falls closed down they got 1% of the people to move. Maybe you can beat the record and get 0% to move.

That tracks. Honestly if you're not in Berkley Heights, Alpharetta, or Milwaukee I'd be upskilling and looking for jobs. They're clearly showing favoritism towards the trio of locations, and having a forced move is not worth it, especially if they don't cover relocation (which they most likely won't).
