EchoStar’s stock is surging. Why AT&T just struck a $23 billion spectrum deal with the company.

PrimeStar satellite is next. Untapped potential there.
The company selling the overpriced asset's stock goes up. The company overpaying for the asset has its stock drop. AT&T has a decades long track record of proving this. Being the su---r in these deals is not good for the stock price, you want to be the grifter that talks our C-suite into buying the beachfront property in Oklahoma. Many such cases.
The webcast added some more clarity and on the surface it looks like a very strategic wireless deal for T. Interesting part was the potential opportunity to lease the spectrum before the deal is completed to start deploying it much sooner. If that happens the deal looks better. Don’t like the increase in debt ratio again which will probably inhibit any larger opportunities in the immediate future.
Good deal for AT&T. Related to company’s business and strategy. T-Mo and starlink are after the rest of their spectrum. Now they have money to buy DirectTv from T and stay solvent too. A win-win for all involved and particularly investors in all three companies!
Resistance is futile. Starlink is taking over the global community.

That's nice. I won't be buying it.
If only we had not given T-Mobile all that spectrum when the Obama Admini stopped the merger. T-Mobile got very fast after that debacle. I guess this is a good deal.
