Corporate life can drain your enthusiasm, no matter where you're at. I joined from a small company and even there, the experience of cursing bosses and endless bureaucracy ki-ls your excitement. You’re basically always choosing between two unpleasant extremes.

@c2 Misery loves company.
The best part of my day in the office are those short conversations I have with strangers in the elevator. It's the only time the interaction feels human.
Nah not true. Im at another firm and it manages to be diverse in gender/ethnicity and everyone is working together as a functional team. Granted, everyones working from home so the overall vibe is healthy. Firm isnt obnoxiously greedy either so benefits and pay are all great even with a lax workflow. Managers are given as many direct reports as they deem neccessary with no limitation.
Trust is a powerful thing. Almost forgot about that at BOFA glad i got out.
I wonder why? 🤔
I just keep my convos short with my coworkers and just do my job. There is a saying "90 percent of people don't care about your problems and 10 percent of people glad you have problems ". I don't give a rats azz about BOA . I just come here to half a-s my job and get a check. Fck everybody else here.
@ck when I fVck up or don't do a task, I got three people guaranteed to tell me about it. Even if the person shares that task with me.
HEY PETER MAN TURN ON CHANNEL 9
yes gt&o space in clt has these kinda id--ts working
I'm always shocked when people become close friends with one another at work. I am friendly and will ask you about your weekend plans, kids etc but deep down I don't care I'm here to do a job and go home. I trust no one. They will throw you under the bus to protect themselves at any given moment.
I am sorry, go on.
Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.
Me: What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Me: Wow, that's messed up.
well said agree with OP and other comments. the core idea is to treat your job as a functional part of life, not your identity. Work should be a means to an end, not the center of your existence or personality. Maintain emotional boundaries with coworkers, focus on doing your tasks well, and prioritize your personal life outside of work.
The key is to make your job just that: a job. It should not be your whole reason for being and it should not take over your whole personality. These people you work with are not your friends and certainly not your family. Just do you job and go home.
