Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Trust and Confidence in Senior Leadership

  1. What is your current trust and confidence level in our Chairman/CEO and the Executive Committee? What are the reasons for your perspective?

  2. If there is one thing you could change about our current leadership and direction that would help gain more of your trust, what would it be?

What is the reasoning behind the downvotes for the @OP?
The post in question includes only open-ended questions without sharing any opinions.

Those who downvote this post are either senior leaders, extreme loyalists or delusional boot-licking sycophants easily fooled by our senior con artist team.

@v6 just a wild guess here but because the board thought he was the best person for the job?

RV and his cronies are not for U.S employees. How can you head an American company but take all these jobs from Americans? And how can you keep closing locations forcing wfh but then lay off your workers for working from home. They are causing these situations and yet we are the ones being negatively impacted. They all need to go or be stopped

Senior ‘leadership’ - mostly poor. Most got to a leadership position on the coattails of another poor leader. Regardless of their behavior, they’re still there - mistreating others and just being a--holes.

It's the fact that the bank think on a quarterly basis instead of a long term plan. Too many layoffs, forced ranking, moving teams to india/Poland, middle management that gaslight you and micromage people. And wonder why people are demoralized? Sometimes I feel the bank is becoming a office space parody. "My only real motivation is not to be hassled—that, and the fear of losing my job. But… that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired"

In the past weeks, people I know were let go every day.
Not in one team/site - but every day I was learning someone I’ve known is gone now.
Every freaking day.

Trust and leadership, you say?

What senior leadership? Matter of fact, what leadership? We have none.
There is no leadership. Leadership means guidance to a goal. We have none.
All we have is bad farmers liquidating the cattle which is US. Until they can sell this place.
Do you all understand? Finally?

I don't know how you can trust the senior management here. They're all completely detached from the ones who actually work. They need to be forced into some Undercover Boss sh-t here. Force them into seeing the culture their choices have created.
