Team leader deciding to step down

I am contemplating stepping down from my position as a fresh team lead at the beginning of the year. My concern is pay. How much of a percentage will I have to lose. I have been with the company going on 15 years. And am concerned if I need to find a second job to make up the difference.

I lost ten percent, and it was worth every penny.

Concerning Christmas being open. How ridiculous is that. Apparently money is more important to you than family time. I’ve been with the company over 34 years and I’ve seen a lot of changes in that time. Some good some bad. 34 years ago we acted like family, caring about each other. The company along with associates have lost that. Associates are coming in making more than us. I’ve been a lead most of my time with Sam’s and so unappreciative does that make you feel. Senior associates have worked hard over the years and we get nothing. Get a plan together that is based on years of several and appreciate them with a larger hourly pay.

You are likely at $20 or more an hour. LIke the previous poster said, you'll lose about $2 an hour. By picking up a part time job, you'll end up making more per year without all of the stress & having to work with rotating your days off or hours.
You'll lose roughly $80-100 a week. You can easily make up for that & more with a part time job of just 10-15 hours a week....and that is at just $10 an hour.
Really a no brainer.

You will lose 10% of your pay regardless of what position you move to. If you make above the maximum for the position you step down to after the 10% deduction you will be brought to thet positions max.

If you step down to one of the lowest level positions such as meat wrapper you will still only lose 10%. If you then step back up to something higher like meat cutter you will get a promotion increase and gain back some of what you lost by stepping down.
