I am a single mom with 2 kids. I am relatively new and am scared of getting that layoff email. I am holding off buying Christmas toys
for my kids because if I am gone I won't have a job or car. Very depressing!

We just went through this in California. They are laying off 50% of the sales reps. They will tell you that the people that are not staying with the company will get an email in the next 2 days after your conference call. The emails will start the night of the conference call and the next day you will have your meeting with Hr and the DM and the RDR. You will get 2 weeks for every one year you are with the company.

Jobs are everywhere. This company will fail.letting good employees go.
Susie Q doesn't know the half of how bad these people treat their employees. I've seen them fire pregnant mothers and my DM said the company was going to "help her out a little"? These people are pigs, first class PIGS!
To the store managers....take down every Mondelez display!
Susie Q, if you don't get let go, use this as a warning! Take time now to get out from under these jerks, they don't care about you or your two boys.
What kind of severance packages are they offering? I've heard nothing about that
Depends what area you’re in. Michigan goes live April so we won’t know if we have our jobs til March.
Considering how bad this company treats it's customers, are you suprised at all they treat their own employees this way?
I believe everyone already got their email yesterday and the call with Hr/DM/RDR was today. You should be good, speaking as a laid off employee. Crazy that the call was mid day during our shift, gotta go back to work and pretend like I’m okay.
Hello I am a district manager for a major grocery chain and I am very that to here what this company is doing to these people. I know some or not that hard working but I know some real hard working Employees with this company. While we are giving out Paul East Christmas bonuses These people are laying people off. I've been around long enough to remember when the biscuit was a honest company . We would open the back door at midnight if a truck came up . Now these new people have reduced it to garbage
You should be scared thousands of jobs will be cut not only this company, but other major corporations, corporate greed
One of the ironies in life is that a salaried employee is in a precarious position. You can be axed any time, with little to no warning. So while the paychecks come every 2 weeks, they can be stopped before you know it, through no real fault of your own. Job security is more of an ideal than a reality. Especially with large companies.
Do what you have to do to get out of debt, and minimize your expenses. ASAP. It will take some time, but do not delay. You make yourself much more resilient this way.
To the people reading this post. I am a Store Manager who reads this post every day. I know who Susie is. AHard working mother taking care of two little boys by herself. She expressed her concern to us Monday. Her boys will have Christmas toys if I have to buy them myself. Also my second car is an old clunker but she can drive it until she can get one. And to this barbaric operation Shame on you.
