I’ve got to say, I’ve noticed within my club that the newer associates work harder than the associates who have been there for a few years or many years. We got a new associate in our deli section and they are doing awesome. They have only been with the company for like two weeks but are already doing double the work of a 25 years plus associate. Is this because of that experienced associate being jealous or fed up with the company or just them taking advantage of this great company who wouldn’t take advantage of them. It’s not like this 25 year plus associate hasn’t had anyone work their area for over two years. This 25 year plus associate has been doing it all by themselves for years and doing a pretty fine job considering not one person works the area on their days off or on the closing shift. They do it all and yet it isn’t enough. They need to do more because we have this new associate finally and the area has looked great since. Why couldn’t the 25 year associate handle it all by themself? It’s not like they were the only one working or caring about the area

Just the usual talk you get from management about the new fabulous associate that is now the backbone of the area. Here the 25+ yr associate carried the department on their own all that time, and through the Covid years, but this newbie is going to get all the accolades from management. Typical Sam's management behavior.
The 25 year associate will still be there long after the newb is forgotten about
I'm sure the new associate will see other people walking around looking busy , talking on their phones hiding in the back talking with others. In their head they will think if they can do so can I , so give them a month and thing's will change for sure ,seen it to may times.
yea give it a week or 2 you will see them either drastically slow down or disappear. Anyone whos been there more than a few years knows how to get the same amount of work done with less effort and make it look easy. Work Smart not hard.
hahahahahahahaha.... Sounds like a 25 year associate witnessed a new person getting praise as if the newbie was a savior. But the 25 year associate wants you to realize it is he who is working rings around the newbie while the newbie gets the praise. Of course that dung never happens at Sams ! We value our seasoned associates in whom resides more knowledge than most managers have or ever will have. Why would we hamstring our most valuable people? BECAUSE THE MANAGERS BELIEVE WE ARE TO D-MB TO SEE THEM AND THEIR WAYS FOR WHAT THEY ARE !!!! And the managers are simply treating us the way those above them treat them. That stuff rolls down hill dont you know.
New associates always do and they get the red carpet rolled out for them until they see the light or they sc--w up.
That's a joke. The snowflakes in our club spend more time on their phone or in the break room than they do working.
So the 25 year associate has worked the area by themselves and has done a great job, but now because there's another associate they should work harder? What an insult. It's easy to be Gung ho for 2 weeks. Wait until they've been busting their *** for 25 years.
🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like a manager trying to cover for the age discrimination going on in the clubs.
Great company?
