Their bonuses are not great even for high performers. If that is something valuable as part of your comp, better options out there.

I feel like such an id--t. I started purchasing C stock in my 401K, not the bulk of my purchasing but yes a good 20-30% in hopes that eventually leadership would turn things around. Buying in low and waiting for it to climb upward. I wait….and wait and wait. The years just keep on rolling by as I see other financial institutions in comparison, their stocks just keep going higher. Yes, I was stupid.
So long as Citi keeps posting pics of a ethnically diverse employees all wearing the same polo shirt with the Citi logo on it, with a thumbs up pose with a “woke” rainbow in the background, all is well. It means that “things are all ‘A’ ok” and “we are trendy”. YEA CITI!!!
Poorly….it measures up poorly.
Revlon……yeah…there’s that to contend with. We’ll see some hefty layoff numbers coming up just on that alone. Gotta find a way to recoup that loss of dollars. What better way than chopping heads.
Plagued by the same ailments of big banks.
Frantic, unorganized, bureaucratic and disjointed. Avoid if you can.
They like to send millions of dollars to pay off loans early on your behalf. Revlon is forever grateful.
just follow the equity analysts. its pretty clear why are valuation is much lower than our big bank peers.
- returns suck
- too complex to manage
- risk and control issues
in fairness, we have made progress.
This is funny to me. Everytime someone asks this in the company, managers fumble over each other with a long list of reason’s why Citi does not measure up to other banks. This is being even before anyone says anything.
Peruse the various posts about Citi on this site and draw your own conclusions.
Seriously its da best for high performers. I have had a great personal and financial experience. Go CITI!+
