Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

I'm still pi---d off over being laid off

People keep saying it’s just business, but that doesn’t make it hurt less. Years of effort, and they toss you aside like it’s nothing.

If it would somehow save FIS a nickel, they'd ask your managers to set you on fire.

Try training your replacement offshore. It’s a sh-t show. You know you have 3 weeks left and then a cr-ppy severance.

@OP It's okay to be PO'd, but after 2 weeks, it's time to knock the dust off and pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get over it and own with your next employer.

@OP True. Being fired for poor performance is at least understandable and deep down you know you deserved it. FIS fires people at random which is just enfuriating.

Blame it on the US gov't for having loose labor laws. European countries run their business with unions and have great labor laws to protect the employee.
