This site is useless. Obvious manipulation of comments and votes, admins do nothing.
my dental allowance barely budget over last 25 years. the dentist cost quadrupled.
@110 I think the poster has said that it's between him, wife and 2 kids. he did not say all of them worked at chevron. so, the fact that some things did not happen at chevron does not mean it did not happen for the other 3 individuals mentioned. and yes, some did happen at chevron too
@ag ummm Chevron hasn’t done any of that list… it’s almost comical how wrong your post is.
What a waste of human capital…thousands of companies re-negotiating with insurers each year to skimp on benefits, millions of American citizens trying to make sure they don’t go bankrupt from medical debt. Americans pay combined taxes approaching that of many European countries with universal healthcare, but they have nothing to show for it. Healthcare and education, the two things society needs to flourish, and Americans keep punching themselves in the face to make sure it’s provided at the highest cost possible to the fewest people possible.
@a7 You MUST be from “Leadership.” Nobody likes or respects any of you any more especially after what we’ve seen you do to very good people who BUILT this company. What a disgrace.
What is the 401k decrease for the upcoming year? 8% matching?
Here is a set for you, this is a 28 year long collection of things between me, my wife and my 2 working children:
- MUCH higher deductbles + skinnier provider networks
- pharmacy formulary shifts = pushin pricier tiers
- reduced or eliminated HSA and HRA contributions (not here but other cos).
- Decreases 401k match or moved to annual true up only
- Discontinue/Freezing pensions and cutting retiree medical
- Converting paid holidays to floating days (90% of F500 cos are doing this)
- nixing transit or parking support
- Much mor e tightened travel policy, fly coach only, per diems not following inflation
- Some are replacing merit raises with one time bonuses
- Eliminating tuition reimbursement and cutting prof development budgets
- stricter performance metrics that funnel people onto PIPs
- ending or decreasing wellness credits - cut fitness reimbursements
- Remving backup childcare and fertility or adoption support
- some are adding on call expectations without extra pay
They’re eroding benefits (higher premiums, higher out of pocket maximums, higher co-pays, no mental health benefits) and not giving raises to keep up with REAL cost of living increases, thereby decreasing our net monthly income. They want US to quit so they don’t have to pay us a severance and they can cap off our pension and retirement benefits for life. It’s called death by a thousand cuts.😂However, MW will retire with a nice golden parachute after he has gutted the company. Then they’ll send in a new CEO with lots of new promises…for AFTER we’ve trained our Indian replacements.😂😂😂”American” company my a$$. Chevron sold us all down the river. Get out AS SOON YOU FIND A NEW JOB!!! That’s my plan, amigos.
Care to explain what is eroding?
