I was an IT person working for Pepsi in Florida and was laid off three years back…Reading here today it seems like they just did another round of layoffs. Don’t be sad or angry…The grass is definitely greener. Everyone in my group who was let go three years back have new jobs and are much happier! You don’t realize it till you’re out of the toxic pepsi environment that this isn’t how a job is supposed to be. The only thing I miss about pepsi is my local people.
So keep the faith people, you’ll be much happier somewhere else.

I left on my terms in 2019. Toxic culture in Beverages marketing. Group think at its finest. Successfully transitioned to new company with base pay +45% and better stock plan. There’s a lot of great companies out there so anyone affected by layoff please treat as a blessing.
Original Quaker hire made it till 2004 and was downsized. Four month severance, rehired 16 months later and voluntarily resigned in 2015.
