The past few weeks (or even months) have been tough, but hearing from others who are going through the same thing has been oddly comforting. It helps to know I’m not the only one feeling this dread and uncertainty right now.

this forum's good if you know how to use it - dont trust everything, and use critical thinking. the fact is that the info posted here is not available anywhere else, it boils down to how u use the info
helps me commiserate, sometimes one just needs to know that pains are shared and that makes things easier. also, if you have a concrete question it's likely you'll get five opinions, one or two will be really good, so not bad. and, if you are remote, it helps chat with people no matter how the discussion develops as long as it's civil
Ditto. 100% agree with @a2...
This board can be awkward sometimes but it always hits the target when big impact events are happening and major changes are being rolled out.
Also, all rumors that get a lot of engagement from folks tend to turn into major events. There is also a ton of rumors that people just ignore, those are not going anywhere and are troll-ish.
I am grateful as well. Though some have complained in the comments that this site shouldn't be for griping but more for informational purposes regarding layoffs, it has certainly helped me confirm what I've been experiencing during my time in corporate; and glad to know I am not the only one experiencing some level of toxicity and internal disorganization.
Reddit has a Target subreddit but it seems to cater to store employees for venting, and not corporate (in case you ever wanted to gripe anonymously). And you most certainly would NOT want to ever gripe on Linkedin about your current (or even worse; former) company.
