Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Time to Unionize FTOWs

It would be a shame if the all FTOWs got together to form a Union before being told to essentially become sales reps

A strike right on the final day as 1/2 the sales reps go would be great, would leave them with no one if they don’t do something

The stores dont need you to merchandise. the stores merch their product with their employees. Just like Keebler. and Mondelez will give them kickbacks to the stores to merchandise so Mondelez doesnt have to hire employees. You are gone move on with your life.

The stores will still merchs to merch store after. We go warehouse until the can hire. More employees with the way people dont want to work now Goodluck with that. We can't hire a staff to handle our stores now so a union for ftow would work and guarantee employment for a few more years. For them

#FTOW unions wont matter to you. you will be replaced. When we go warehouse there is no need fo ftow, the grocery dept will order what they need through their handheld like they do now for groceries. Or they will order when it gets scanned through the registers. You are done!!!!

What do the FTOW have to lose by trying? The pay rate is no different than majority of jobs out there with less stress too. Quit drinking the kool aid & do what’s best for those who are the ones driving the sales at the bottom. “If it doesn’t happen at retail, it doesn’t happen.” So fight together for the worth of all. There is no shame in being that person who steps up for change in any entity, only shame in not trying. I’m one of the SR’s being laid off, but I’m in a whole different category than those posting here. (Think “bronze” parachute package(lol)). I’ve been a part of Nabisco longer than most posting here have been alive. I’ve seen company evolve, seen this “mission 1” format before. With that said the following is only my opinion thru experience, longevity & being realistic to who companies cater to, “investors.” I do not have a crystal ball, if did, I’d be looking for the winning Powerball numbers in it, not Mondelez’s future!
I think product will eventually go to store’s warehouse, be delivered on their trucks, but I think the FTOW, will still order it & SSRs & FTOW, will still stock it. With Kroger waiting for approval of sale of Safeway stores to them, via gov. regulations, who knows, but the company eluded to investors, it had a 10 yr plan in 2012, thrown off by 1-2 yrs via Covid, to streamline, transportation, distribution ctrs, manufacturing plants, products & the retail sales division & is it to “fully give” control to the store’s? I don’t even think the company has a crystal clear answer to that, but yeah, some form of the overall picture of “DSD” will end, if not all of it at some point, at Mondelez. “The only constant is change.”

Scare tactics are what have been used to erode this country’s worker’s power. It’s a proven fact, w/o the “worker bees” entities couldn’t make billions. Yet, decade after decade, the wealthy have brainwashed the worker to take on more for less. Are unions the answer, dunno, I only know it was “Regonomics” which started pushing demonizing unions while selling the “trickle down theory” and how has that been working out for the lower 99-90% of the population sense? Just saying…..a lot of “boot straps” breaking…

Bunch of chicken sh--s, we will be gone eventually but why not grab them by the ba--s now until then

They have no system in place if 1-3 teams of full-timers got together and used collective bargaining to get better pay and benefits, most teams aren’t even set up to handle the current layoff most likely, look at all the open FTOW positions online
