Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

FB pushing for everyone to talk to clients

Are any other non-client-facing groups being pressured into talking with clients? We are suddenly getting lots of emails with canned lines that we are supposed to read to clients, and now are being told we have to cold-call random clients to ask whether they need anything. I'm not against looking out for the clients, but don't we have groups that are TRAINED to handle this sort of thing? Or did they all get laid off?

Oh look, someone who has never met a Fiserv worker before! What are you doing here?

You nasty person...

"The non-customer facing employees are borderline-autistic or borderline-aspergers."

Maybe Fiserv should save some money by firing you and your degenerate attitude.

I'm laughing imagining software engineers talking to clients to ask if they need anything. That's a good one. (Full disclaimer: I am a software engineer, so I'm not just poking fun at them - the stereotypes are often true.)

Yes, we started today. I asked a client what she was wearing.

This is going to be amazing!

The non-customer facing employees are borderline-autistic or borderline-aspergers. What could possibly go wrong having them pretend to be diplomatic with the customers?

I'll call their ideas stupid straight to the customer's face. I'm sure the customer will enjoy my tact. I've been trained to call ideas stupid as early in the process as possible, to minimize the waste-of-time. It doesn't get any earlier than when the customer is telling us their idea. Imagine all the money Fiserv will save by calling the customer stupid immediately! $$$$

It is like senior management has absolutely no idea how this company functions.

This rocket is pointed straight towards the ground and they just turned on the afterburner. Burn baby burn!

If I was the client, I would start looking for alternative elsewhere. The only way out for Fiserv at current state is to be bought by a better managed company, or it will be out of business soon.
