Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Terrible damage

Some of the most capable and hard-working people were laid off.
I am shocked because I think that no company that cares about its future cuts such employees. Instead they should be doing everything they can to retain them.
I wonder if the leadership is aware of the damage they have done with these layoffs?

They don't care it is about numbers and outsourcing. Kind of people's in director senior managers are completely unqualified to be even l9 l10. Yet they are giving these roles to.incompetence and cronies.
Even if it takes 20 people to do one person's job it is ok. Afterall indra dream of making this an Indian operation has come true.

Covid Year 2 could have been a great opportunity to step back, TALK to the employees, and LISTEN to those who truly cared, to learn and understand what was not working and fix at least the most basic things that hinder productivity and efficiency. Outsourcing and cutting the experienced dedicate employees will not be the fix they tout in press releases... it's only the cost savings they care about.
