More than once I heard someone say that he or she feels more valued since they stopped caring about this company and this job. Is this the case with you too?
The culprit are those who constantly demotivate employees and who then decide to dedicate themselves to creating the impression that they are working very hard, when in fact they are only doing enough to stay out of trouble.

If I find the silver lining here: I spent too long in my career blindlessly trying to please this company. The last couple of years may have set my mind right. I feel less likely to take one-sided sh1t. As long as I stay, this is a two-way transaction. I’m still going to work hard, because that is what I do. But I am also ready to stick-up for myself and, if needed, walk.
