Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

2% Raise every year from Aero

Who in their right mind at Honeywell thinks long term employees won’t leave for continual raises that don’t keep up with inflation.
I believe in a decade , talent will be gone from this policy.
Definitely no trickle down economics at Honeywell.

Lol, call bull all ya want. Wasn't sure how to take it at 1st, like, was I underpaid that bad? But it's true whether you were aware or not, and the proof is just a pdf away.

@ucsl+1kCJXTMq I call bull.

I am in HR. We are not permitted to make any salary adjustments ever. I've not had one approved ever. Many proposals, all shot down. Even DA has turned some down...

I've seen exactly one promotion in 21 years as well.

Its not a hint, the 2%, its the cheapo Hon norm.

If you're getting 2%, it's a hint. We all got that baseline 9 block chunk, but a few of us get "adjustments" added. I've gotten as much as 6 more %. 8 to 9% weren't bad years. Promotion years are even more, nearly double. So if you're in that 2pt circle..
Get out.

Don’t worry, I heard the “volunteer packages” are making a comeback. You guys/gals that have been waiting will get another chance at the Honeywell Lottery.

If you guys go on strike, I really believe it will be a death sentence. I believe they already have plans to relocate your company to a lower cost region. I wish somebody would just tell the truth and tell us when that’s gonna take place.

1145 union contract five-year deal. Aerospace Minneapolis,Minnesota

1 year 3.5%
2 year 2%
3 year 2%
4 year 2.5%
5 year 3%

If we were ratified it, we will get a $4000 bonus, which didn’t happen.

We’ll see what happens when we get to the final and best offer. My guess is increase the bonus and we will ratify it. Still keeping the pay raises that are currently in effect from the first proposal.

Stay tuned for more information. I would love to go on strike, however, I don’t think my fellow union members feel the same way. If we do go on strike, I’ll keep you updated.

Only the suckers are getting 2%. If you take a second dose of that, you've signalled it's ok. Move on. Reject the retention bonus offer. That's just a gimmick.

Yes, definitely no trickle down from the top of Honeywell. It's more like trickle up from the bottom. When DA and his cronies need cash to make the quarter, lay people off, have furloughs, cut expenses, cut insurance, you name it. They treat employees like an ATM instead of creating something new. And, if something new does get created, it doesn't work because they laid of the folks that knew it. DA and company are unbelievable.

And in a furlough or 2 and it’s a net negative even before you factor in inflation

Trickle down economics is exactly why the labor community is in the situation we're in. Incredible bonuses and raises for the C-Suite, while everyone below gets the 2% you mention.
