Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Anyone watching the Global Town Hall?

Will any of our questions be answered? Recent lawsuits, RIFs and layoffs, WFH policy, cost of living raises, etc. Take your bets now! Or will they just talk about ESG initiatives and highlight random diversity futureshappers? 15 mins and it’s go time!

What a bunch of nonsense. They made the merit decision last fall when they decided the 2023 budget. Don't spend your anticipated "increase." How did they get the cash? Huge discounts to customers if they paid before the end of 2022. All to appease Wall Street.

@xub+1kCVbdW09, zxk here. Aero, and I have seen the merit allotment.

I will grant you that things can change in a heartbeat and merit increases can be canceled/postponed. I also do not know if a given SBG, such as SPS, can suspend merits for their own SBG. I do know SPS is hurting so they will do what they can to control costs.

I don't trust anything right now. It wouldn't surprise me if merits are given and then furloughs are scheduled during the year. Not sure what the APAC region allows as far as furloughs go. Not sure if that is a country by country regulation.

@zxk+1kCVbdW0 Which SBU are you in? SPS had a call with APAC leadership last night US time to discuss the "potential" (means upcoming) merit freeze.

Merit has not been pulled so I'll take the wager against the "100 percent guarantee it will be pulled".

Now, I'm also certain many will be passed. I'd guess at least 10%.

And any breaking news about M&A, divestitures, transitions, policy changes have never happened at global town halls.

I'd anticipate emails this week or next if anything is changing.

DA flat out says we should use stock market performance for comp. What a bunch of BS, isn’t his comp based on stock performance? He also stated they have not made a decision on merit. 100% guaranteed that it’s pulled and all salary increases are on hold.

I remember when viewers could see the questions being asked. Now, no. These are very carefully orchestrated events and thus virtually worthless. Also, it looked to me like DA was more casual than usual. Maybe he was getting ready to go play golf and get hammered?

I turned it off when a top award was given to the lady that negotiated an under budget result for the corruption lawsuit. Wait.. we budget for corruption settlements?
Shame.

It is on now and I am watching DA, the same old DA, making up lies after lies naturally.
He said corporate came up with a lot of cash; gee, how did that happen without pulling the cash away from businesses; did corporate have operations or what? DA can't even grasp that (answer: of course he does; he is just telling lies knowing no one dares to call it out in the meeting).
Congrats to PMT and all the VPs getting the premier awards - make sure to cash them out in March.

We’ve outperformed the market (by laying off enough people to make it look like we are profitable on the spreadsheet.)

I’ve listened in to them for 15 years. It beats working!!! I have never learned anything worthwhile in a single townhall. To me it always sounds like they are talking about some other company where it would be better to work at than Honeywell.
