Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Heavy workload

It is impossible for the manager not to know that such a large amount of work is unrealistic to be done in the expected period. However, he insists that we meet such unrealistic goals and tries to convince us that we are not overloaded at all, which I consider extremely disrespectful. Is the only solution to leave?

I work for Ascension TX and this SURE sounds like MY department! Unrealistic management expectations , top-heavy leadership with team leaders doing the work of the manager instead of helping the employees, everyone is being told they are lucky they have jobs!

It’s important to have your direct supervisor’s support.

Front line managers can make or break your attitude and motivation.

You could be a nurse, a programmer, a cook, or a garbage worker…. An influx of work will happen regardless of your position. How your manager handles the workload is as important as how you yourself cope under stress
