Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Don't understand the logic of asking us to come two-to-three days per week

Instead of two-to-three days per week, simply say two days or three days. Who has to remember one week two days and other week three days.

And another logicless expectation is employees part of agile need not come to office. Why?

It's just all BS. He just says whatever comes to mind at the moment. He will say something else at the next AMA.

Because agile is a huge pain in the a-s and tech had the most attrition last year than ever. They can't afford to have more talent walk out the door

I think everyone should RTO, mailman, store clerks, grocery store employees, garbage men, waiters, cooks, teachers, policemen, firemen, see where I am going here. If your company, that pays you a paycheck and benefits requires you to work in the office, get your bu-t in the office

How about asking employees and not mandating it? Remember, this is from the guy who wouldn't relocate for this job. One of the reasons we lost WB as an investor. How much higher is the stock today from when Chuckles joined? LOL

For the question down below he is the only person refused, and his manager even said “I will keep you as long as I can unless HR tell me otherwise.” He even applied medical accommodation for few times, HR never approved.

If you are the only person on your team that does not RTO, then it's much easier to dock your bonus or fire you. If 3 people on the same team don't go in, then they are less likely to fire all 3 people.

Not sure if there is any consequence for employees refuse to return office. My friend at Bank of America, his former manager moved few hours away during Covid and did not return to office one minute, he told HR just fire me. And HR’s response is we don’t have such policy to treat this situation, people either quit or return to office. As of today he is still fully remote.

Never heard of this. Is it LOB specific? We’re still being told 3 days last I heard.

Its a panic play. WF knows they need to do something, they just don’t know what. So throw out a lot of low hanging fruit mandates and then brag later “see, we are making changes”.
