Everyone knows citi pays terrible raise and bonus that's why you gotta negotiate your life long nut as you are joining. My advice is to leave and return at higher pay

I look at it differently. I let my performance review dictate the next year. If I busted my @ss and got a good rating but the rewards aren’t there, then it just sets the tone for the next year. Instead of doing “x-plus work”, I just do “x work”. Just enough to not be the worst on the team.

Yes, I posted this very thing elsewhere as well.

C13
Ranked 2/3
Current salary 140K
Bonus: 1500 Raise: 2%

My role does not make money.
Hmmm…..I”m sensing a pattern for sure.

Salary ranges are now visible for all US based job postings. Go to the careers page and find a posting for your same role and you will see the range

For me, I’ve been at Citi for 5+ years, I’ve never seen a pay scale matrix. Something that list a salary range per C level. I’m curious if I hit the upper end of my salary for my level or not.

Has anyone ever seen such a listing?

If you got a 2 rank and not happy for your comp. You should have received an email for management associate program retention and allow you to work 3 month in every department then being offered a job in the one you like such as my colleague did. Two of young kids got into the program and switch their job to investment banking and treasury. So after that you can prove yourself if you are worth of 100k bonus. But I think my two young colleagues did not do well because they got rank 2 by kissing hurt and linking boots. So have a good idea how much you actual worth is a good decision of your life kid!

If you got a 2 on your performance review, and your annual bonus was $1K, the issue is not Citi, it is that you are obviously in a very low level role, and not a very valued position/department. What is your salary, $20K? Sounds like you should switch career paths. Sorry, but this is the truth.

I'd venture to say you are lying as well and made this up to troll/get attention/try to smear the company.

Not true…it depends on your role. .“You were the best out of the team across the board.” And was ranked a “2” with 3%.

There’s always a merit increase pool set up by each citi team. If you are the top performer, you will get extra 5% highest which make it to 8%. Therefore you just need to stand out on performance.

That’s funny.

Why not Just give your salary before and after the raise, C level, job title, location, which floor you sit at and manager’s name for context.

Cost of living up 15% the last I read. 3% raise to be considered above average, just re-affirms how cheap Citi is. Unless of course you’re the upper echelon. I guess the percentage they don’t give out to their employees, they keep to themselves for a job well done on quelling those regulatory fines…….not.

As I know in most citi teams, you only get 2 when you get a promotion. It looks like you are in technology side? So 2% is for employee met expectation,3% is above average. If you got 3 years rank2, you should got promotion to management level. Raise will not be better but you can negotiate a marker adjustment if you are not at salary ceiling of your level.

Citi has been cheap for quite a while now. If you are looking for higher pay for the hours worked, then look elsewhere.

C level and salary is not the point.

If I’m ranked a 2 but at the higher end of the pay range for my level, and all I get is 3% and 1K, then its still sad. What motivation do I have to do better? Why not just do enough to keep from getting fired and forget the above and beyond. Why not just put the same effort as everyone else and forgo the long hours of extra work. The rewards I got after taxes equate to little.

List your C level, general role, and current, previous salary, otherwise the data is without context and useless

What do you get paid now before the 3% raise?

Post ID: @2adm+1kF9qVhr

Raises\bonus’s are stagnant. Sad that there are no stock rewards like other companies give.

What i can think of is that as a whole, citi pays a bit higher than its competitors. Where i am, pay is slightly less and my peers are salaried as opposed to being hourly. Also, we are entitled to a company bonus between 11-19% of our salary.

I m also cost but I work hard and a problem solver. 8% 10k merit raise in the last three years and 8k bonus. However I got no increase for the 5 years before that and same bonus for 10 years.
