I took the VSP in 2014 and came back a few years later, best thing I ever did. The VSP would let the people that aren’t happy leave and the others could keep their jobs. Won’t happen but I wish I did!

EMC Corp did VSP’s. Actually it was pretty good for ppl wanted to go. You had 2 weeks to decide. Afterwards if there wasn’t enough voluntary participation following week there were forced layoffs so HR got target number. Regardless each category got package.

Balance sheet does not support the VSP neither does the Bond Payment Dell has to pay since they refinanced their debt ,so no VSP's and layoff , looking at the numbers 30 to 40 % layoff needed Globally.
