CPU/SOC teams are actively hiring, including new reqs added in the last few weeks.
The ones that should be worried the most are the ones that do not play the politics and build relationships. Politics trumps performance, hard work and talent 10 out of 10. Hate to hear this, but this is reality.
Anyone know what the status of Hardware is? Some reports suggested it was impacted but this could mean anything from XBOX to Microsofts own attempts to do ARM CPU/SOCs for their Azure instances to compete with AWS.
I’ve been tracking rumors and reading between the lines on leadership calls. The layoff is not a surprise, the amount is, tho. I hope they don’t drag this out, I saw this coming 3 months ago, and it’s been stressful to go to work daily waiting and wondering. Best wishes to all employees during this uncertain time.
