Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

WFH Jane pulls the plug

Interesting approach
Pull under performers back to the office. Are they using ms teams and how often you move your mouse for productivity?

Probably 5 days for now. It's easier to schedule that layoff meeting with HR, when they know everybody should be in the office.

so are low rated performers being recalled 5 days / wk in office for coaching or just 3 days?

JF's future are very much numbered it would seem.

Jane is stopping the one thing that Citi has going for it. It certainly isn’t pay that’s for sure.

“8 hours per day is long enough” - - I look at it differently. I let my performance review dictate the next year. If I busted my @ss and got a good rating but the rewards aren’t there, then it just sets the tone for the next year. Instead of doing “x-plus work”, I just do “x work”. Just enough to not be the worst on the team.

This looks like a last ditch effort to save her job. CEOs are losing a little bit of their power each day and they are panicking.

It's so nice see the bad decisions backfiring on this company. Keep the momentum going. Do your job and no more. 8 hours per day is long enough.

I’m all for piling on citi but I think the the headlines and news around this is overblown. I didn’t get a sense of a shift In wfh strategy in what Jane said

Definitely not using teams. Most people I know leave their status on "Appear Away" anyways, even though they are online

Pretty sure they can monitor your cloud CPU usage overall. As long as you are in Outlook and using zoom and your web browser, your activity will be reflected.

Well i know that in aml compliance, if you were not meeting pace, you really could not work from home, so i guess that its a production issue??
