@ksoj+1kKzLIwE How many people is this? 16% of?
16% reduction in labor force at London Ohio plant for Intelligrated today 2/6/23
@4ayx+1kKzLIwE That's the whole point! Why pay severance if you can drive them out for free?
@4ayx+1kKzLIwE, while I understand what you are saying I just don't think that will happen. Too many people I work with complain and say they won't take more. But they have been staying for 2 years so I don't expect they move on. I do know 2 that did have and did find jobs. I have found a new opportunity but there is a bit of a delay so I sit back and ignore the noise.
About the folks that won't/can't leave some have good reasons. Almost all are family related and anyone putting family first I can deal with. Any of those can vent to me to release some small level of frustrations and hopefully that helps in some small way.
I do think the environment will get worse and with the cutting going on I just believe that something will be divested.
If there are raise freezes and furloughs in Q1, everybody will be gone by May.
Now for the new rumor. Raise freezes until economic climate clears, and a furlough in March before Q1 ends.
How much more can the workers take to get the executives their payouts?
Wow, just wow.
SPS in Brno still has few ppl working on safety wear, few working on some medical stuff and Intelligrated which was reduced now.
Who is left in Brno SPS? That building was already empty
Where is Honeywell Life Safety located these days? Rhode Island?
Yea the old HOS system really improves a line of business.
Can't we just outsource this to Canada as a short term mitigation strategy? The maturity model of material handling has already peaked and the US exchange rate to Canadian is almost always favorable. Today it's $1.35 so if it's baked into the plan with 2 RIF's a year of competent staff, even the reckless stodges left can make a 2 year lead time schedule. Maybe increase the supplier terms to to Net 120 and pay them at milestones and this will work. I mean developing economies will need this level of automation just for beer and baked goods in the STRAP Plan.
Wait a minute I lost it for a moment, the Executives need at an option and strike price and bonus for next quarter. Stay with the plan, RIF RIF RIF, Executives can cash out early to retire where there are no extradition treaties.
Are lot of people in Charlotte affected?
HBT Novar business in OH hit this week. Whole R&D let go, 1 week notice. HBT Alerton business in WA got rid of their R&D in June. Nobody left who can design product.
Intelligrated got hit..
It was again across all LOB of SPS. I know of a smattering across the barely hanging on US SPS sites. GK for the win again!
I have to say I love it when Honeywell stock plummets. Today was a good day. Down $8 or 3.77% and right before the 401k match. Maybe the layoffs aren't helping but don't worry. DA remains optimistic in his outlook for the global economy in 2023.
So what departments were affected? I didn’t notice anyone gone yet.
Lucky people!!! Not gonna lie, I'm a little jealous. Don't get me wrong, I'm working on leaving. This would just make it so much easier!
Please come out me out of my misery
4 PEOPLE WERE LET GO TODAY. HONEYWELL LIFE SAFETY
Czech Brno site got some bad news about RIFs. 25-30ppl probably. No details available now.
