Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

I worked there for over 18 Years - last 2 years was terrible

I was a member of the C1 family for over 18 years. The last 2 years were a nightmare. Our department grew from 85 to over 500. They brought in these "JOKE" leaders who instead of focusing on solving fun challenges and problems had us attend DEI conferences and share our feelings. Those leaders forced the BS political agenda of pronouns on us. Glad I left before the storm.

Good luck to all of you impacted. You'll need up in a much better place

Sounds like Cyber Risk Management with Zee’s love affair with Deeeeevo and their brainwashing DE&I initiatives. Awful. Focus on the work people and fix yourselves.

There’s a huge age disparity between the “older” white executives and the workers. It goes from 40’s/50’s to twenty somethings..

There are indian men in exec roles but in my vertical the majority are white cis gender men. Must be difficult for them to embrace something they never would otherwise, if it wasn't part of their performance review.

It's funny that the leaders are all older white men who force DEI on everyone, just so they can have that on their performance reviews.

Well said. I worked there for 7 years—lots of org changes, departmental moves, and a cut throat product culture. Lots of talented people interspersed with id--ts
