30 year VP. Not in the bank though. I was originally in NYC but moved to Arizona. They were ok w/me working remote but as soon as that happened i saw the writing on the wall. Also I wasn’t promoted in over 10 years and being in this group, didn’t see it happening ever!
What level and city? 30 yr vet
I was let go after 30 years and am retiring. I smiled when i was told last week

Me I cant leave citi I love it so much. Jane is a great boss and offers many benefits
I’d so take a severance package right now without hesitation and never look back, ever.
And mortage layoffs make sense in this cycle. Take the package enjoy the time off and cone back next year if you dont land elsewhere.
I had a conversation with a person in upper management today. They told me that Citi is not supposed to have each department lay off 10% like they have done in the past.
The only department they heard mentioned with layoffs was in the mortgage area. I think mortgage has already had some recent layoffs, but I am not sure.
Sniffing gasoline much?
Citi has great benefits and treats employees with respect

We haven’t announced a major large scale RIF…yet
In comparison to Wells Fargo, Citi is far better managed that’s for sure.
I am aware of an Underwriter in mortgage who was let go this week. I'm not sure of how many were affected total though.
