What was the severance with NI with the layoffs back in late 2020? How many weeks per year, months of medical provided, prorated bonus, RSUs?

Top talent often gets laid off by short-sighted management because they want to pay graduate rates.
Any idea how many in Finance are impacted....in Austin office
Top talent is not immune to layoffs. I was a top performer and had the #’s to back it up. I was paid more and older than the average, plus my specific focus area and position was outsourced. So, take your pick of any three. In the end, it’s a number that drives the decision and not the particular employee.
Does Emerson pay top dollar?
NI for sure has a nicer austin campus....its the little things
We all know NI doesn't pay anyone "high dollar".
What if you are "top talent" but high dollar talent?
If you're so good that you can negotiate your severance package, you wouldn't have been layed off. They don't layoff top talent.
Depends on your tenure. After about 14 years, you don’t get any extra weeks.
Here’s some tips - everything is negotiable! DO NOT take HR’s first offer. Don’t take the second either.
Put together your justification to present in multiple rounds, not all at once.
I was able to get 100% of all bonuses plus two rounds of extra lump sums of $. They can’t change the formula for x months automatic severance, but you can get extra as lump sums given your contributions, performance, loyalty, etc…in your counter proposal. Doing this, I got the equivalent of 11 months salary and medical for one year. Good luck.
Whats the scoop on severance?
