Elon said come into the office or get out of Tesla. The man is right.
I don't buy it. There's a company wide push to get people out of the offices and provide a business justification why you need an assigned desk. They want the office to be little more than large group in-person meetings that have catered lunches.
If you need to work in the office before, after, or between booked meetings, you can "borrow" a "drop-in" or "hotel" desk for the day, but otherwise they'd rather cut corp real estate costs, furniture/chair/monitor costs, utility costs, etc. and get rid of buildings.
Why pay for expensive ergonomic desks and chairs when you can make your workers work from home and buy their own desks and chairs?
But ... why? She's always humble bragging from her mansion during check-ins.
Which orgs? TAC? IT? Others?
Difficult given building consolidations in SJC, RTP and other areas across the country. Many regions now w/o offices.
Well thankfully it's not 5 days.
