Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Chances of the severance package being better in the next layoff round?

Just curious. Do you guys think the severance package for the next round of layoff will be even better than this one? Or maybe this is the best one we will ever get?

The worse you are as employees the more valuable it is for the company to cease employing you so it seems obvious they’d pay you more for the privilege.

Meanwhile, is the flat earth a square or circle? What do you guys think? I’m pretty sure if you get the right answer you might be exempt from the next layoff.

Will there be an ER offering in next LR (I think it is likely for entering FY2024 - aka Nov/Dec 2023 or Feb/2024)? What do you guys think?

The packages are incrementally worse with each LR. The best was 2019 LR/ER.

You're half right. They are getting worse, but the best was the 2011 ER and WFR, aka LR. No idea about the packages from PIP's that they used to cull the bottom 5% or the 2008 layoffs, whatever they were called. The 2011 WFR package was better than the 2016 LR package.

Wasn't the 2nd ER in 2020, not 2019? I thought those that were let go in late 2019 had their termination dates extended due to the pandemic shutdown that happened in Feb/Mar of 2020 and they got something like an additional 3 or 4 months above the original package offered.

Based on some of the stupid questions here it’s no wonder people were let go!
