I have been on other layoff bank sites, and they all seem to be very concerned. I work here, and have to admit, I am concerned. Are you worried?

Not worried. Our team has been told that we are safe this year. Mortgage will see the most layoffs.
I dont think a fresh round is happening. Dont listen to the fear spreaders
Citi has a long history of:
- ) Laying off at least once per year. Maybe not a massive amount each time but its done.
&
- ) Following the lead of other banks. If other banks are doing it, then so will Citi.
So for now, Citi hasn’t laid off, but will. Other banks are doing now, so Citi will do it later.
Its coming, no question about that.
I am in HR. I have not heard or seen anyone mention anything about layoffs, however, the writing seems to be on the wall. Ive worked at several F500 companies and have seen it happen at each one. so I know the signs. Hopefully I make it through
it may happen around 2/10
Hard to say. I’d say for tech it was mass I’ve over hire which we didn’t do. That being said - I do think at some point we will can all those thousands of people working on consent order?
I was laid off last week, but am not a banker. Worked at Citi over 30 years. I got a year severance and will retire!
Nah not worried at all business as usual for me
Regardless of rankings or all of the corp feel goods you may have you should always have a plan B.
