what's going to happen to the backroom associates when 3rd shift starts again? If backroom starts at 4 and 3rd shift is still working then we won't have lifts to unload our trucks. Are they downsizing the dayshift backroom position?

Not going to be a 3rd shift😉
Our store isn't getting one of the abbreviated night crews the high volume clubs will have so nothing will change over here. That said, I'd love it if we were and I had a couple good lift drivers to run freight with till 11:30. That's the thing I miss most these last 3 and a half years. Block Scheduling never managed to throw the same man-hours at everything that needed to be done after they eliminated third shift. The formula they're using has failed thus far. They redistributed 100% of the overnight responsibilities, but not all their man-hours hours. At best, maybe 60%. This is a step in the right direction for the high volume stores but it would obviously benefit all the stores, so long as it doesn't get too misused.
They are taking our small 3rd shift away. No 3rd shift until we hit $150 million. Probably another 2-3 years then we’re supposed to get a 3rd shift, freight flow crew, extra manager extra forklift drivers. And by the time we hit $150 million they’ll have changed up the game plan again.
9-5 night shift ….. 5-2,2:30 morning shift !!!
Seeing is believing , they are going to do what they think is best for their pockets and company , in which the associates suffer mostly .
