You missed the point, they want managers to finish all the HR documentation and reviews BEFORE they RIF those managers and others....
I used to work for Verizon and I was part of a RIF a few years ago. All I can say is get out of telecom asap. You have to worry every year if not twice per year of getting laid off. Verizon does not care about you, you are an accounting number. It’s not just Verizon, it’s corporate America itself. Be loyal to YOU not a company. The company began a downward spiral since Hans took over. If you get a severance, great. But if you don’t get RIFd this time, keep your resume updated and your options open.

Mgt reviews are irrelevant to RIFS. The decisions of a RIF list were made weeks ago.
It’s happening tomorrow
02/16, they need to wait for management to complete year end reviews would be my guess...
Why is pulse so early I want to wait till I get my “total rewards” sheet showing my minimal raise and bad STI first.
Based on previous experience I would guess 02/16 but who knows they might throw us a curve ball. But Pulse is out now so they need at least a week to get the results.

No RIF in February, hate to break it to you.
That is too long to wait. Hope is 2/2.
2/16
I guess it 02/16.
