Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Get out !!!!!!!!!!

Awful place to work I worked there for 25 years started as a cashier all the way to general manager I gave this company everything I had for a lot of years for what quite 6 months ago never realized what it was like to work for a new company that actually cares about their employees not just brags they do and does nothing we all were just a number there my last Dm was the worst I have had she knew nothing never deserved or nor she was qualified to be a Dm staples used to be a great place to work now they are just bleeding it dry people have positions that have no business being in and I actually got sick because of this company we are. Just a number they don’t care about anyone especially not a dedicated 25 year employee so what makes you think they will care about anyone it really is sad but the best thing I did was leave love my new job wish I did it years ago was scared to do it but was the best I hope you get out because you will be so much better off

They paid you for 25 years too right? I mean, you didn't get forced to work!

Such an awful place to work this person says. Only took 25 years to realize it. Odd.

I worked for 22 years, enjoyed it. Then was part of the furniture ops layoff in Nov. 2021. Stayed til April 2022. While not ideal. Stay on bonus and severance were adequate.

Great post that says it all! Staples is becoming a good model for how greed and pathetic leadership can destroy a once great company.

Glad you moved on! Congrats!
