I just joined Suncor a month ago and they have been great so far. After 5 years at Cenovus and after the merger, looking back it is a true sweatshop now in comparison. Suncor treats ex-Cenovus staff like gold and they feel bad for the cr-p they hear we had to go through. My team has been very welcoming and I get to see my family again for the same comp level. I wanted to let my old co workers know. Don’t fear the unknown, reset and choose who you work for.

Really @7ihr+1kY3znyI? You are a typical operator at Cl. You actually believe you are not replaceable and everybody should bow down to you because you are the elite of the operators. A job that requires no skill. You are just a valve turner. The operators at Cl are a joke! Anyone can see it when you are asked a simple question. You have probably already burnt bridges and won’t be able to work anywheres else around Conklin or Fort mac. Just remember everyone who left is working at every different plant in the area.
Hate to brake it to you CL is not the envy of the oil field and neither is working at cenovus. Ask any one working in the area and you will find out pretty quick.
Yeah and yet somehow CL is the envy of oil sands operators. Sorry you got skidded but move on with your life. Being bitter is no way to lead a productive and happy life.
I love seeing posts like this!! Cenovus is full of toxic people especially on the operations and maintenance sides of christina lake. Just a bunch of know it alls that haven't worked anywhere else and are to incompetent to go else where. I guess it doesn't matter since most of their names have been placed on do not hire lists anyways.
Cenovus culture is so very wonderful after multiple lay off rounds. As a Husky employee, I love working around insecure bully’s who don’t know the business at all. Lots of big talk however.
Hey @5tmy+1kY3znyI I love posts such as your. I was Husky now Suncor. I am so thankful for the huge $$$$$ to depart decrepit Cenovus and start anew. The management style over her is superior. The projects are more interesting. The future is brighter.
Oh and my investment colleague suggests Alex is setting Cenovus up to be sold in five years. $ucker !!!

just a reminder... it wasn't a "merger" Cenovus bought husky's sorry a$$... we've since sold enough of that carcass that what is left we got for 'free'. If you're legacy husky... please quit and go to suncor and take your unlimited personal use vehicles and bullying harassing work style with you...

I am ex HSE after 20 yrs. Been Suncor for 16 months. Night and Day. So glad to be gone.
HR will not be happy with that post. They have been busy. Very busy on Glassdoor polishing away in January.One HR post has no negative comments about the company.
