Layoffs did happen. Don't know the scope but we lost a few people on our team in the US on the wireline Net Ops side.

My best friend was in a Net Ops group and they weren't union. He got RIF'd this past Thurs. and so did a few other in his US based team.
Some were let go during the 4Q rif and off books by 12/31.
BS. Net ops is under manned if anything and mostly union. Those are the people they can't afford to let go and need more of them.
Right if you’re not union and you lose your job,,you got fired..smh
You LOST them?
Nah bro. People who get fired can't come back and are un-hirable. People who get RIF'd can, and sadly do come crawling back to Verlieson. Its like an abusive relationship. People who are fired also don't get severance. So there's that as well man up bro from 2017.
Layoff / Fired
Wish people would understand the difference. Let me help - if you're a management or salaried employee or anything other than a union member and you are RIF'd, you've been FIRED. Man up.
This PSA brought to you by a proud member of RIF Class 2017.
Net Ops is mostly union and they do not get laid off, they have contracts
