Chevron useless staff think that they deserve bonus for doing nothing. Oil price did all the work last year. Your Opex suck l, your capital discipline is sh-t and look at FGP in TCO, your safety record is the worst in any major. Why do you think you deserve any bonus at all. This include your useless management as well but this is America, the winner takes it all losers.
Stop whining, you are not special. Not even at bar with your competition.

On the other hand, then the employees were not to blame at times the price of oil drops and our bonus becomes small… you can’t have it both ways! In the main the bonus should (and most years does) reflect our overall total return on investment capital for the year. The company does better, the shareholders do better, then the employees should do better.

Adding to the OP

  • they did not increase production so failing exploitation and failing commercially due to lack of good M&A
  • Failing HR… rated the most toxic in any super major - RM toxicity is destructive. You can see it in the results. It is rotten at the head, she needs to go or we will collapse at the next downturn
  • shares buy back is a maneuver from MW to protect his own shares from the collapse. 75 Bullions will be water just to keep the price where is it. They will buy at every dip to protect their own. Then they will be left with an overpriced share with nothing to show far than lower EPS than the big collapse. L. Give it 5 years if we see a downturn and it will be over

Totally agree with Op we the employees and our management did nothing to contribute to the record profits all the majors are making huge profits from the actions of q third party nothing they have done. We are lucky to be here probably not next year
