There is again talk of layoffs now that we've made it into the new year and market adjustments to follow upcoming fed moves and the perpetual mayhem out of Washington. But my department always seems to have 3 contractors, at least, who get canned before the employees ever do. The contractors make a wonderful firewall for me and the gang. I expect the same cushiony atmosphere now through Spring.

one can only hope....but I feel as if the contractors are safer that FTE
our contractor thinks they are FTE since they've been on our team for 5+ years and demanded corp titles--which mgr gave....which indicates a level higher than a couple peers. -- I'm just b*tching about that--
