Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Where is C level taking a hit?

We have been told how the resource actions have been necessary because of the economy, etc. We know the price the staff is paying for the company, many of them are unemployed and many overworked trying to make up for lost associates. But tell me, what has the c level execs and their direct reports done to help the company other than lay our coworkers off? I haven't seen any emails about them not taking their bonuses, have you? Any pay cuts, not taking a salary? Time for them to feel the pain, don't you think?

That’s because the company is merely a wealth extraction tool for the “c-level” and the board. The whole reason the associates and clients are suffering is so the River of Revenue continues to flow upwards without disruption. This is by design.

A true leader shares his staff's pain when necessary --- if they get a pay cut, he or she should too and in proportion. Without them, he or she is nothing --- without the leader, they are nothing. A bad leader cuts staff, cuts pay from a remote computer on St. Croix sipping a drink. Fise,,,, eh, First Data now is full of bad C level leaders while the good people are either going or gone.

You can't understand their pain. You don't know the back pain they experience by sitting on a thick wallet. Or the jet lag after flying in a private jet. Or the facial pain they experience after a layoff. Those smiles can be exhausting you know.
