Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

MetLife Johnstown closed

They closed our office permanently 10/31. They told us not to worry jobs won’t be lost. Does anyone else believe them? I don’t feel safe!

@Auntie what’s your point? All ELT own substantial shares and sell them sometimes. Who cares?

They won't lay you off, but they won't be unhappy if you quit, either.

When you're here, you're family. Family won't let you down, right?

Johnstown was a large building that was 90% empty. Not surprising that was closed. Wouldn’t be on My MetLife because it was too few people. You’d have already been informed if your job was being cut.

It could not be. Surely if they closes a whole office, I would have read about it on MyMetLife.

(I really didn't hear about this. How many people were in that office?)
