oh managers def know. my manager got layed off too and she said there will be more cuts every month from now until april. our director even knew but she was no fool she "transitioned" out 2 months before the entire team she led got let go. (insert applause). shadyyy people.
@ae thank you
@ac Yes, if say 50 or more at Optum Circle were RIFed, they would issue a WARN notice. They are good at tracking locations and making sure the number usually don't require WARN notices. They also have to balance age so they make sure they have enough younger workers to offset the older more expensive workers.
@a8 thanks, just trying to understand so, people are saying thousands. If Optum Corp location is laying off thousands would they have to do a warn notice?
@a1 UHG doesn't trigger WARN, they're good at this stuff
@a8 Which is weird that they called so many telecommuters back into the office. In a better economy it might have flushed out a few, but not now. The Brainiacs in charge were thinking again. Get's them into trouble every time.
@OP Trust your instincts and have an exit strategy. My manager was the same way in the week leading up to my notice.
@a1 We laid off thousands each quarter at Optum in 2025 without WARN notices. As long as it is under 50/location it doesn't apply.
@a1 there is no MN Warn notice yet: https://mn.gov/deed/business/layoff-resources/
@a2 I saw that, was wondering about MN?
@a1 there’s a warn notice for NJ
Anyone have a link to the MN Optum WARN notice? I do not see a WARN notice for Optum listed for 2025 or 2026, yet people keep talking about large layoffs 1/23/2026.
