Hey @OP you are famous. A few quotes commented on here:

13 years and I’m shown the door, at least I got my sweater and wine cooler bag yesterday so it’s all good!
@cs lol no
Does anyone know if we can negotiate our severance?
@cp can you ask about severance package? at least how it was calculated or something.. do they pay bonuses? what about vesting stocks?
@ch I’ve heard directly from someone laid off today they were given until midnight.
@ch sounds like it is immediate.
@cg so they got the call and immediately have to turn in their badge and equipment? In 2024, most affected were given a courtesy 3-6 month notice giving time to prepare.
Are they making the calls team by team or is this all random? Several on my team went right at the start of the day. I’m curious if they’re through with us now?
@cd Only a matter of time before AMT buys us. Cannot wait.
@ca 100% the next one will be the remaining remote people will be required to move to one of the offices. Then it will be we are further consolidating our work force to provide the best system for our team and customer experience. Then it will be we are excited to announce a merger with American tower which combined will bring world class infrastructure to our clients.
Does anyone mind giving updates on who's gone? I don't have any visibility in the company anymore.
Thanks
@c9 today’s might be a bigger layoff than all previous layoffs since it is right before the fiber sale. CC has been layoff city since late 2010s. Not a good company for long term commitment.
I would bet this is the first round of many waves of layoffs this year…
It will just be layoff after layoff until they sell towers.
Good luck. Just know you are getting the last helicopter out of Saigon and one of the lucky ones. While others might have jobs after this they are working for a dead company. They will squeeze ever ounce of work out of you till the next rif. This company can’t grow at 3% and maintain its dividend and debt. It’s a sinking ship you are lucky to get off and those left leave asap. Crown won’t be here in 3 yrs
May the odds be forever in your favor.
I spent over 19 years with CC, and two years ago I was pushed out. I struggled to find anything in telecom and ultimately had to change industries and reinvent myself. It wasn’t easy, but I’m grateful to have landed in a great place with great people. Sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side. Wishing everyone the best today
What’s funny is all the executives and vps and even svp will stay on even though they created this mess.
New CEO, same old story… another night of no sleep, awake at 3 am wondering if I’ll have money to support my family after tomorrow. Thanks for the racing heart, Crown.
Posting this so that if there’s anyone at the top with a shred of humanity left that happens to read it, they can feel guilt for a few seconds.
I was caught in the 2023 layoffs, and it turned out to be a great thing. Nice cash infusion, time with my family, and I ended up in a decent spot. The market isn't great now but you will be alright. Good luck.
Wait what happened? How about everyone who gets 'noticed' act d-mb during the 'conversation'...
"Are you sure I'm on that list? Me? Wasn't my review great? Didn't I knock that project out of the park last quarter? How many times did you ask me to fill in for those people whole got laid off last time or those people taking vacation while still doing my job? Are you sure? Haven't we said all of 2025 that there would be no layoffs? Wait what?
Yeah go get some sleep and report back on this site tomorrow, we need to know the real numbers not what is “reported”
I would advise if you are laid off from this company it is actually a sigh of relief and you never know, you might end up making more money at your next job if you play your cards right.
It could take anywhere between 6 months to over 2 years to find your next job so enjoy the time off while it’s there.
Like someone else mentioned, look outside of telecom unless you are stuck in telecom.
Start educating yourself immediately on the gaps in your résumé. Take classes and get new certifications.
Here’s some unsolicited advice: find a job or career outside wireless for a minute! YW
Yeah good luck to everyone!! ; if it happens, the take a deep breadth , take few days/week off for a mental break and start the job search process
